Yesterday was extremely tiring. I only had a few hours of sleep and woke up at around 7, thanks to SUKASHI ERLIANA who fortunately called to tell me her posting results. RP? Alamak. Appeal, Appeal, Appeal!

After that, I got ready real quick and left home at about 7.30 for the beep test at Yio Chu Kang. I reached there, got really nervous, changed to my kit and realised I wasn't going to take the test. Coach Salim to be blamed. And this is what the fuckface said: "Oh, ya. Fariss, I'm sorry. Your medical results have not been approved. So I don't have your medical certificate with me now. You will do your beep test with the other players once you have passed your medical. Sorry". Fuck! Waste my time. I could have slept soundly at home. Yio Chu Kang and Boon Lay is not so near, you know!

Okay, forget it. I was so fed up, I didn't feel like going to school anymore. So after that I went to NYP with the Bels for lunch, went home, took my boots and went to Toa Payoh stadium for a match with Balestier Khalsa's S. League team. We managed to win the Tigers 2-1. Lions are stronger than Tigers. Proven. And S. League's standard is not good enough. Also proven. But surely the intensity was high. Hell yeah, I was damn exhausted after playing for 90 full minutes.

I fell flat on bed instantly upon reaching home. Never been so tired before. I woke up this morning with an injured left knee. Where did it come from?

Good News: Off day tomorrow. No training!
Bad News: Beep test on Friday.

I had 2 days of eating bbq food. At East Coast on Saturday and at Jurong East on Sunday. So unhealthy, I know. But getting my stomach fully-loaded with hotdogs, chicken wings, chicken chop and marshmallows was rather gerek. So, enough people! No more inviting me to your bbq.

And on Monday, there's a once in a blue moon event. The moon partially overlapped the sun. Cool ehy? Nuq wanted to snap some photos so me and the boys tagged along to witness it. First, we went down to Science Centre in the afternoon but it was so crowded. Even Chinese people(no offence) flocked the place during CNY. Science Centre was kind enough to distribute special solar-lensed spectacles. After that, we went to West Coast Park instead which was worthwhile as the place was less-crowded. We started to put on our 'shades'. It was a very interesting sight so we made quite some noise. People started coming to us to borrow the lenses. Some even offered to buy them. Haha! Makcik, makcik.. Banyak sangat duit ke??

Other than Nuqman and his friends not being able to take photos of the eclipse, we had fun until Asyraf got caught littering his cigarette bud on his way to McDonalds'. And fined $200!! His mood totally changed when he returned to the jetti. A lesson to be learned, guys: Stop littering cos these people have nothing better to do so they go round catching people and impose unreasonable fines. CB!

To all Chinese friends, Gong Xi Fa Cai! Ang Pao bawak datang!

Awed by the first sight of you,
and aflame when we first conversed.
I began to place a hope in you,
and perhaps you'll be my first.

So nerved to inquire your digits,
filled with joy upon success.
On your blog my name it reads,
arise an ambition to be your best.

Your words never fail to bring a smile,
now evermore I think of you.
Typing this humble poem on my mobile,
reason being I'm falling for you.

We've never met I surely know,
ironic it may be to you.
More of you I desire to know,
because this feeling is doubtlessly true.

Dad: How's national training? Passed your beep test?
Me: I cannot take beep test.
Me: I haven't pass my medical.
Dad: I thought u took it for the 2nd time already?
Me: Yes, I have to go for a third one.
Dad: What's wrong?
Me: My heart.
Me: The check wasn't accurate.
Me: That's why I have to go for a third one.
Dad: I'd rather u don't play football.
Dad: Read the news. People collapsed and died.
Me: They're not as fit as me.
Me: Coach asked to run 700metres in 3 mins. 3 sets!
Me: I did it in 2mins 19secs. First to finish!
Dad: Those who collapsed are experienced cross country runners and professional footballers.
Dad: U call them unfit?

Haiyo! Don't worry la. I'm strong and I'm a fighter. Even Mohammad Ali's afraid of me.

I didn't go to school again and I'm in deep shit.

I left school early today for a medical check up at Changi Hospital again. I have an abnormal ECG. The doctor said there might be some sort of thickening at the left ventricle of my heart, which is the most essential part of the heart. She said it can cause a sudden disfunction of the heart resulting to death in a middle of an intense bodywork. The ECG might not be very accurate though. That's why I still have to go for another check up, this time with a more accurate ultrasound device. Whatever it is, I want to play prime league this year. So doctor, please declare me fit. I'll die faster not playing football.

I went back straight to school to play a match against SIM because I believe my body is functioning well. For years, I can run 90 minutes without any problems so there's no reason why I cannot play. The hospital probably wants to make more profit being the reason why the doctors keep making more appointments for me. Corruption! Anyway, NP is out of IVP despite our 3-2 victory over SIM.

We, Art Park SC had a match with Jurong Intercon at ITE Bukit Batok this afternoon. We were told that the opponents are good and that they are champions in Jurong area or something like that. We came and showed them the true meaning of champions. Won 5-3. The match was getting really unchallenging so we gave away 3 cheap goals. Don't mess with the Art Park! What's Art Park SC? We are a group of talented footballers, mostly retired. We lepak an do all sorts of things together everyday and everynight in a hometown called Art Park in Jurong West. Lately, our name have been increasingly famous throughout the island. So watch out!

Anyways, the referee really sucks. He looked like an old-time rocker with a pony tail at the back of his head and he wore shades while refereeing. I initially thought he was Ramly Sarip. Skali, Ramli Syrup. Bahan ketawe betol la lu! He scolded me for saying "puki" to my friend. Irritating! Even David Beckham use vulgarities on the pitch.

So about 18 NFA U-18 players were selected to go through a medical test at Changi Hospital. All players are required to pass the medical and beep test in order to play in the prime league. And so I went to Changi Hospital early this afternoon. I had urine test, blood test, vision test, all sorts of tests. Yeah, I'm talking about x-rays, needles and wires sticked to my body. Other than being colour blind, the results also showed that I have an 'abnormal' ECG(I dont know what it means, something realated to heartbeat). I don't know what's wrong with my heart but I have to attend an appointment with the cardiologist this Monday and I guess he/she will explain more. I hope all goes well and I'll be fit to play.

I've got my hair cut and it's really thin and short. So how do I look? Better? Neater? I think I prefer it long. My head feels cold now and I think I already miss the warmth my long hair used to give me.

Yes, I scored a goal but we lost to RP and our performance was less than commendable. Our defence was shakey and the referee partly to be blamed for giving soft fouls to our opponents. Even a win over SIM in our next match won't guarantee a place in the next round. I'm down with fatigue and injury. I doubt I'll be able to play anyways.

Fortunately, Zaffan and Syahiran were there to feast with me despite my loss. Expenditure: $0
Morale: up 50%

To those who got their O level results, I apologise for being such a kaypo. Good luck in choosing your next path of education.

I played a frustrating match for Ngee Ann against SMU yesterday. The score, 2-2. Today, played with Phatz against some mat reps who made us wait so long under the hot sun at Yishun field(without grass), a potential first desert of Singapore. Score, 5-3. We won. I scored the goal of the match. What a strike from 30 metres! Went straight to another match for SAF Prime League against SRC and won. But I don't know the score. Wakakaka! And then I'm invited to play for some Sunday football team at Westwood Secondary tomorrow afternoon. And another match for NP against RP on Monday.

Match, match, match. Tiring but I like it. I just hate trainings. I'm like a full-time footballer, don't you think? I'm not but I think I will one day.

Wednesday, January 7, 2009

I haven't been spending time with my friends this few days. All I did was to go to school and attend soccer trainings and matches. Its only been a few days and my friends are already saying that I've been MIA(missing in action). I really miss hanging out out with you guys and I'll see you guys soon, I'm sure.

Usually, I wont stay at home but I need to redeem myself for a while after my parents got angry with me a few days back. Yes, I've decided to ground myself. Boredom is never in my vocabulary. So what are there for me to do at home these days? Other than sleep and chatting online, I watch movies online and I strongly recommend you to watch The Last Castle. Very inspiring I tell you! Definitely worth the hours watching. Plus, you can watch movies for free at watch-movies.net. No need to download. Just wait for it to buffer. Cool ehy?

For those looking for a more recent movie, Twilight is highly recommended too. And for you hornehs, watch Zack And Miri Make A Porno. Not much porn but it has a decent storyline I should say. Peace!

The inter-varsity tournament kicks off today. And we faced probably the strongest team amongst our opponents. Team combined ITE dominated the match but it was our game plan to be defensive-minded and frustrate them by playing deep in our own half. Our backline was rock solid and the midfielders fulfill their defensive responibilities. No doubt, our strategy was effective. It ended in a goalless draw. Good result guys!

Our performance won us one off day tomorrow but unfortunately, I have to attend NFA training in the evening. No rest for poor Mr. Boulala. Arrghh!

Okay, okay. Me no psychic. I cannot read the future. Besides, things don't always turn out to be the way you expect it to be. This is what truly happened today:

I went to meet my friends at 2.30am and left at 4.30am. I realised mum already locked the door and I had nowhere to sleep. So I went to meet my friends again. We just sat around and talked all morning like homeless bums. We talked mostly about what happened between Maggy and some of the boys that night. Eeeee.. Disgusting, I swear! If you think Ugly Betty is ugly, you should see Ugly Maggy.

And then at 7.30am, I went to grandma's place and slept till late. I didn't attend school again. Not even soccer training. And the first match of the inter-varsity tournament kicks off tomorrow. I guess I'll be warming my ass up on the bench tomorrow. Yeah, I rot indoors today but the good thing is, I haven't been smoking for almost 24 hours.

Coach Raziff Onn called while I was sleeping. He asked if I'm interested to play for SAFFC prime league team. The coaching staff is interested to see me play on Saturday. I recalled that I have to play TWO friendly games on that day, one in the morning and another in the afternoon. So I told him I cannot make it as I'll be in Malaysia this weekend. Lie, lie, lie. Damn, I lie a lot. Shame on me.

Everyone! I'm a psychic. I can read the future. And this is what's going to happen tomorrow:

I sleep.
I wake up.
I recieve missed calls from Kiong and Ming Hui.
They scold me for not waking up in time up for school.
They ask me if I'm still going to school.
I bath.
I get ready.
I realise I dont know where I put my lecture notes.
I go to school 3 hours late.
I get my common test results.
I fail badly.
I go to Ngee Ann's soccer training.
I get tired.
I reach home at night.
I get scolded by mum.
I fed up.
I go lepak with my friends.
I go home.
I sleep.
Zzz..

Boring right? Sorry la. Someone told me to update my blog. And i have nothing much to tell, really.

Happy New Year everyone!

Went to Sentosa for countdown on new year's eve. So boring. There were so many drunked people around. There's really nothing much to do there other than taking care of my fu*ked up drunked friends. Troubleome I should say but I kinda enjoy listening to them talking nonsense. Bangglas there were so irritating, noisy and smelly. No suprise some of them got beaten real bad. Countdown at Downtown or Marina would be a much better plan, I think. Reached home at 11am and fell flat on my bed all day long.

2008 was a blast for me. Hope you have an amazing year of 2009!
